Darren,
Thank you so much for your recent comment on my post! I really appreciate your insight and I totally agree with you on the importance of teaching kids the concepts behind all those mathematical operations. It definitely would've helped me to know the reasoning behind what I was doing when I was learning math in elementary school, and even more so once I got to high school!
